The Community Food Bank (CFB) in Grand Junction is a community based, volunteer supported agency designed to provide a free emergency supply of nutritious food to any and all hungry Mesa County individuals and families in crisis.

For over 30 years, CFB has remained the area's only program to provide unrestricted access to food 52 weeks a year. They are THE resource for any Mesa County resident in need. No one is turned away.

CFB receives no government funding and relies almost entirely on contributions from the local community. Every $1 donation can purchase four times that amount for our community's hungry families.

Crown Supply Company is proud to sponsor the 2018 Lazy Man Olympics!

But first...

What's it take to be a Lazy Man Olympian? And what are the Lazy Man Olympics anyway? Oh, and are there trophies?

The 2017 information on the KEKB website says it's perfect for those who've,

  • always dreamed of being an Olympian, but couldn't muster the ambition...

and goes on to explain the event as,
  • two days of intense, er, lazy competition featuring a poker tournament, corn-hole tournament, and culminating with 18 holes of golf.

Featuring two-person teams, with ladies welcome to participate in a series of events that include:
  • Poker on Friday Night
  • Corn-hole Tournament on Saturday morning
  • Golf Saturday Afternoon

And yes there are trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.

The great part is you can sign up with a partner, or in case you're like me and can't find anyone to join you in your crazy shenanigans, one can be assigned for you!

Sounds like the perfect event to us! The hardest part is going to try to come up with an awesome team name! Think you can top these from last year?

Last year a portion of the proceeds from the registration fees went to benefit the Latimer House.

Keep an eye out for more details about the 2018 event, COMING SOON! We hope to see you there!
